Sounded like the WB was set to tungsten.

You may also want to make sure that you have the WB option checked (in the camera menus) to reset upon power off/on:

Menu > Rec Mode 5 > Memory > Clear the setting for WB

('Selecting Settings to Save in the Camera Memory' - p312 of the K-5 Manual.)

Clearing this option, as well as EV compensation, is worth doing. I've been caught out myself.

Here are my blue ducks, WB on Tungsten. I had previously been doing some slide copying with a tungsten source - didn't change the WB for the outdoors.

I really like rawr's recommendation. And I'm going to be setting up several USER modes for various types of shooting that I do. There certainly are a lot of twiddles that need setting when drastically changing shooting situations. USER modes are something that I have been really needing in a many-featured camera.

This is yet another argument for shooting in RAW. You can easily correct it in PP with no ill effects.
