A couple of these are quite nice, but for a few the focus seems a little off.
For a series like this it would be good to see what lens, shutter speed and aperture you used for each.

It was the 18-55 kit lens I will pull the info for the settings and post when I get a chance.

Don't forget to update the firmware to V1.13 ...I believe the update will help with some of the focusing issues.

Be sure to take it off green mode, so you can select and use the center focusing point. When shooting flowers like that, the worst thing you can do is leave it on auto AF point selection. With auto AF point selection on, it is practically guaranteed that the camera will focus on part of the scene that should not be the focus point.

In green mode, even if you move the AF selector on the back, it will always remain in auto AF point selection mode. In every other mode, the position of the selector will be used.

Wasn't in green mode but will double check auto focus settings.

Very nice,
Agreed - it is like a new photo. Gives me hope for some of my less inspiring images.

One additional thought would be to see what it looks like with a tight crop on the right side. I think getting rid of the background will improve the image, but I'm not sure how changing the aspect ratio that much will work.
