K-5 Tethering?

Hi! I'm considering a K-5 purchase to go along side with my K-X, but I'm concerned its tethering is like the K-X tethering... Unable to really tether so I wont be able to shoot with Lightroom. Can the K-5 tether beyond being an external storage device?

I know I can tether via 3rd party hardware wireless, but wired tethering is 100x more reliable and wireless should be a last stop use only IMO.

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, PK-Tether seems to be the only option for tethering Pentax cameras. What you can try is to tell PK-tether to send to a hot folder that Lightroom is watching. Not the best, but if it works it's better than nothing.
It will probably slower than eroding rocks.
