Buzz while on LV

Hi everybody!

I'm a new happy k-5 owner. The camera is in my hands by less than a couple of day. Everything looks fantastic, bot with my KA or my KM lenses. The only thing that make me a little worry is that when in LV mode i hear a buzz coming from it both with or without shake redutction, autofocus and such. Is that normal? I ask because my flatmate owns a nikon d7000 which is completly silent during LV

Thank you for answers!

There are numerous posts on this.
It's the sensor. Its held in place by the same electronic that are used by the SR.
Nothing to be worried about, just enjoy your new camera

It maybe nothing to worry about, but the noise that it generates gets recorded by the internal microphone when in Movie Mode!

When you use the optical viewfinder, the SR hand pops up to tell you that SR is ON but there is no noise from the SR mechanism, so, why do you need it when using LV?

Because the sensor doesn't snap into place until you press the shutter button. The SR hand shows the algorithm has a lock oon predicted SR motion.

Well, nice to hear i didn't bought a broken camera and everything is normal.

Thank you!

Now i need to search the forum a bit to understand how to properly lock exposure for the video mode (not a huge fan of the automatic exposure )
