Is it possible for the K-5 to take three images and make the HDR image while taking timelapse shots ? I'm thinking the interval would be 10s.

I am afraid that you cannot do that directly. In the K-5's HDR capture mode, the interval timer is disabled.

But I am pretty confident that you could do with one of those external cable/radio remote releases that hold a built-in timer.
