Hello Everyone,
I have been using K-5 for the past two months, .. Two days back.. I have noticed my AF-S lever wouldnt switch AF- C to AF- S it either turns to AF- C mode or MF. mode but not the AF-S mode... thought the lever switches to AF-S.. Any Help is greatly appreciated...

It's supposed to, but you've got to move it gently!

yes, Adam. Its supposed to but It doesnt .. I tried to cross out as many ways as I could,
1. Tried with different lenses
2. Did reset all my settings..
I wanted it to send Pentax service as I am still under warranty. But wanted to double check if I have missed something here.

I noticed tonight, for the second time, that if i locked focus on one subject with a 1/2shutter press then recomposed, the camera would refocus even though the lever is in AF-S...is this what you are seeing?

Yes, Jmg257, thats the problem. also the back of my LCD shows it as AF-C instead of AF-S when the lever is pointed to AF-S

Ahh - I hadn't noticed the "AF-C" indication...I'll check that out ASAP.
