Just bought a metz 50-1 for my k5 but can't get the flash to display information on the flash. The only 2 things the flash displays are the mode and auto shut off icon. I have the DA 35mm 2.4 lens on the camera.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

did you update the flash firmwire too latest version

Flash exposure is rather rubbish on the K5 im afraid.
There is a way though. Set your anti red eye in motion !
It then uses the preflash to calculate exposure and will give you spot on results
everytime in most situations

I think it may be derived from the flash head is not turned and tilted in a right position!

I have tried many different positions, still no info displayed. The only time I can get any other information to display is to have the shutter halfway pressed and turn the flash on. But the information would only stay on for a very brief moment and back to the flash mode and auto shut off icon displayed screen.
