Not a perfect copy by a long shot. Just one that locks up less than the others and was repairable with a little super glue when the lens eject button fell off. My k20d was a perfect copy but of course I will take the troublesome k-5 over the k20d any day.

So, you still have a fairly "young" K5 ... sorry to see that you have been having that much trouble getting a perfect copy.

I hope you will be able to enjoy the good K5 for at least 100,000 clicks!

That could be the reason why I am having some "pain" selling my K20D: never had a glitch with it!

(selling it because I have way too much gear already).

Those "little" QC things are really annoying but the K5 still is an extremely capable camera.

So ... 6000 per year .... you're good for 16.7 years!

8714. Got it on Friday the 13th, January 2012. The seller reminded me to take care of the ice on the ground outside of the shop on my way out... Took it in a snowstorm on the 23rd and literally under a waterfall 2 months later.
One of the best purchases in my life thus far. Just gotta learn to control my bursts better.

1,658 - I've had it since the first week of March 2012. So far it has performed flawlessly - all the problems have been with the photographer.

Less than 300 actual pics I've taken and not messing around/experimenting. I have to be inspired to shoot and can't/don't want to go around sticking a camera in peoples faces like Lisl Dennis of Outdoor Photography. Ugh.
