In swapped the 18-55 over to try my K 50 macro.I've put the K5 on M,switched the tiny lever on the side to MF.When I go to take a image,the F letter flashing F-- on both screens and nothing happens.Am I missing something in the process to get the manual lens working.Is there a switch in the menu select that I haven't activated like in the K100D,where it has a "using aperture ring- allowed" switch.

thanks Adam,I think I found the problem as you were probably typing this.But I'll look at your link to make sure I get it right.The K5 manual is like a novel.So it will take a little time to get my head around it.
