K5 LCD flickering

So a few days ago I was in the middle of a somewhat long photo shoot (1k images in 4.5 hrs). By the end of the session I noticed that the K5 back LCD was flickering. I turned the camera off / on and removed / re-inserted the battery with same result. The battery indicator was still full as I started shooting with fully charged batteries and grip attached.
I didn't have too much time to look into it and just put my camera in the bag. When I checked it again the next day the LCD is no longer flickering.

I wonder if anyone have encountered similar problem and know whats wrong?

Were you using live view heavily? Could have been overheated a bit...

Genuine Pentax grip? My next suspicion would be some sort of power issue. Did you unattach the grip or change batteries before checking the next day?

ebay 3rd party grip, when it happened during the session I did removed the grip and both batteries and it still flickered. I didn't do anything aside from turning it on the next day and it works fine. I guess its just a one time thing

Flickered even without the grip attached? Those cheap grips are known for being flaky...
