Buyers Remorse - Still Not Happy with My K5

I have a K2000 which I've really enjoyed. Bought a K5 a few months ago and I'm just not taking to the camera. The focus still seems to be a bit off and I've tried adjusting it but that's not working. I also seem to have a stain - has been there from the beginning so I don't think it's dust. I can't seem to get the same bokeh I got with my old camera when shooting Av.

All of these things might be my fault and maybe I traded up too much - probably would be happier with the K30 that's coming out but I don't see myself switching (because of money). Sometimes I'm tempted to just leave the K5 at home and stick with the K2000 but that seems crazy. I've been taking photos for a very long time but I'm not very technical so I don't have the patience to deal with all of the problems.

What's a person to do? Sure wish now that Pentax was a more popular camera option - maybe I could find a mentor locally in San Francisco to help me with this camera. When I start reading anything technical my brain immediately shuts down. Ha!

Are there any tutorials out there for dummies?

Post or link pics with exif of the stain/dust spot and other samples for feedback and advice if you want it.

post some examples with exif so ppl can see what you are talking about and what the issue is. You should also be using SEL to pick a focus point rather than using full AF or center-recompose

cant get the same bokeh with the k-5 as with the k2000? with the same lens and settings? that doesnt make any sense... A stain? as in a dot somewhere, that is dust. Get a bulb blower and blow it out. Stains look like a chain of pearls and havent been seen for over a year

if you are having issues adjusting to the K-5, the K-30 wouldnt be any different the menus etc will likely be almost identical

pentax being popular or not has nothing to do with being able to find a mentor for photography. A camera is a tool, skills are skills. try picking up a copy of "understanding exposure" by Bryan Peterson

One thread on this is probably enough.
