I am looking to buy a k-5 and saw a K-5 "kit" with lens, SD card and extra battery for a good price at Adorama. What's the catch?

maybe a none WR lens? but I doubt that.

the SD card and battery are always el-cheapo ones in those "kits". Battery not so critical, but get a decent SD card.

Check what type of kit lens: the DA18-55mm, the DAL18-55mm, or the DA18-55mm WR. All are based upon a similar optic and have similar IQ. However the latter (18-55WR) is WR and it might be worth it since your K-5 is WR.

You may also consider to skip the kit lens and buy directly another lens: eg, DA18-135mm WR, a prime, .....
