CRIS states that it'll cost $130 to replace button and fix card slot. The problem is I have a three-year warranty that was purchased with the camera and it has to be returned from AZ to me(at my cost), sent to NY(at my cost)to be checked out and then sent somewhere else to be returned.

If I pay the repair, the money spent on the warranty would be a waste of $85.

If you like the K-5 as a camera, then get the issues fixed once and for all. The vast majority of these cameras are sturdy tools.
