You would want to remove that filter because it will give you a higer resolution / higher IQ image. The low pass filter blurs the total image, not only the parts with the moire.
Moire only happens under certain conditions and is VERY easily fixed locally in PP. I can even imagine eventually inbody software will and remove any moire before writing the file to the SD card.
I doubt that Pentax will suport the removal of the low pass filter though. Then the only advantage of the K-5IIs, and the reason for its pricing, will be gone.
