Looks decent enough for LV ... anything you could find with the "actual" AF (not LV) ?

Doesn't seem too dissimilar from my K-5 classic, and still slower than the K-30

Pentax K-30 Contrast AF Example - YouTube
Nice sharing, thank you very much. But really hard to tell, which one is the better!? K-5 II focusing from infinite and also body is stabilized. Otherwise K-30 on handheld and no AF from infinite. I'm wondering, is K-5 II better than K-30 or not?

Greetings...

At 0:22 it seems like he does preload the lens to one side, but not sure. I guess we wait for K-30 owners to answer.

From comparing the video with my K-5, they have not removed the auto zoom before focus so it apears the process is the same and since it uses the same engine I don't expect any speed improvement.

I would think the K-5II improves on accuracy rather than speed.

I don't think we can draw any conclusions from these videos, but it does seem like the LV performance is unchanged compared to the old camera.

Thats just a standard K5 is it not? The K5 II no longer has the air gap and the screen in slighty recessed.

You can look for the PENTAX logo position.

I've seen this video and posted it before; so it is indeed true (I was thinking it was just a K-5 classic)

Thanks for posting on the logo position it does seem outside the glass. Can't wait for in-depth AF versus tests of the K-5/c and II/s from Adam and the gang!
