1st week with the K5

So I thought I'd share a few images from my 1st week with the K5... Still have lots to learn about this camera but thus far pretty pleased with the results...

It's been a busy week... The K5 deffo held up its part of the bargain... I'm a happy man.

Congratulations on your K5. I've enjoyed mine for the past months and I'm sure you will too.
Great photos.

Thank' guys... Still not used the K5 in the rain yet and although the only WR lens I own is the oft' criticised DA50-200mm - I'm kinda looking forward to it...

It's been a very busy week judging by the file names if pics taken in first week of having the camera; nearly 10,000 pics in a weeK!! LOL

Yeah not sure what's going on there... No way I've taken that many shots!!
The camera was used when I bought it and wouldn't be surprised if I'd taken nearly a thousand but 10-thousand?!?!? No...

0540 is after 9902 because the counter rolls over at 9999.
Did you put in an old memory card, the camera might have continued from ongoing image number. Time to look at the EXIF in Photo-Me.

Purchased my K-5 body two months ago and using it with Sigma 28-105mm for now. I can say that the camera is far better than the Canon 40D I used before.

It's the Sandisk Extreme I pulled from the K-x before I sold it (the buyer was supplied with a 4gb class 6 card)
That shot was with the 50-200WR lens.... Having mixed results with it at present... Longest lens I own though and my 'only' WR lens...

thats why there is a mixup in the numbers. When you format your card, take a photo, check the shutter count from the exif data and rename the image with that number, after that the image number will be the same as the shutter count number...
i have the 50-200wr, its not an impressive lens, i only have it because of the wr feature, aand because i got it veery cheap, but from time to time it makes some good images, the sweetspot is from 50 to 135 for me, after that you can see excessive coma, only center sharpness, and that sharpness degrades the longer it gets, overall i dont use it as much...
for what it costs though, its a good lens.

Congratulations. Those are very nice pics.

I am glad you like it. I just purchased one and can't wait to start shooting.

Good luck.
