Sensor shift question

I think I know the answer but I just wanted to doublecheck - the sensor shift functionality. This is just for 1 frame, right? Ie say I wanted to use the same shift for 200 shots (cheap man's shift without tilt), basically no dice as you have to reset every time and can't actuate via remote?

Cheers!

Shift should remain untill it powers down so far i've experience.
Good enough for studio but if it goes to stnadby when walking around you should lose the setting.

But is the shift enough to shift the perspective enough?

That last sentence sound strange.

I mean does the sensor move enough to actually change the perspective enough to notice?

I've never used it with wider lenses so curious if it is.

I did last week and i found it to be quite usefull, see the result:

The top of the building would not have been in the frame without the shift. Gives ssome flexibility...

Intersting, so far i've only used it for product photography. Did thought to use it as shift be deemed it not suitable for that in my head.
Glad to be wrong.

Which focal length was that?
