After reading many reviews and forum posts, my plan now is to buy a K-5 and stick it for the next 2-3 years, then upgrade to a full frame Pentax if it comes...

Steve1307, thanks for your recommendation of DWC, I've finally bought a K-5 + DA18-135 from there. I called them and they said only two left in Melbourne Store, so I just drove there and picked up one for $1259, plus extra two year warranty for $70.

Thanks to you all for your suggestions. Now i cannot wait to test new my K-5...

I tried sooooooooo hard not to get addicted to an upgrade but having sold my K20D on Sunday then decided I'll sell one of my K-5 bodies and get the K-5II-s. I just hope I'm doing the right thing. Only time will tell. CRK are shipping the camera from the eastern states for me so I don't have to wait as their stock arrived yesterday.

Did you call them directly for this price? They don't have the K5ii listed on their website.

I've just pre ordered the K-5 IIs through DCW, too good of a price to pass up... Well that and my K10D is giving me the shits by turning off between every 2nd shot!

Hoping I'm not going to regret this (over getting the standard II)!

Sounds good. I assume it would be a pre-order and we are at the mercy of CRK for delivery.

At least DCW is a store where you can walk in the front door and pick it up

Edit: It is pre-order. They told me it would hopefully be around 2weeks but before the end of the month.

I got my K5iis today! I'm going out to take a few photos. My very first photo seemed to show moire until I noticed that the camera had defaulted to 32000 ISO. I took the photo again at 100ISO and the colour noise was gone.
