Will a K5(II) + 18-135mm WR fit in the LowerPro 102AW?

I was wondering if a K5II with the 18-135mm WR lens would fit in the Lowerpro 102AW, which has an inner width of 6.3in(16cm). Can anyone with the K5 or K5II + 18-135 be kind enough to measure the total length of the camera with the lens on, with and without hood. I need to know if I need to buy the 202 instead of the 102. Thanks.

well i dont have the 18-135, but i have the 50-200wr which is a little bit longer
k-5+50-200 ~15cm (zoomed out)
so i think it'll be ok if you have the hood backwards...
if the hood is in place(extended), it wont fit.

That combo fits, as long as the hood is reversed (at least in the 100AW I have). It fits even with the battery grip installed on the body. I think that the 102AW is the same size as the 100AW in the main compartment (they increased the size of only the top compartment in the 102AW).

Thanks a lot. Nice to know. I wouldn't mind having the hood reversed if needed.

Actually, according to Lowerpro's official site, the 100AW is at least 1in(2.5cm) wider than the newer 102AW.

I could order the 202AW, but i'm worried that my things are going to be bouncing around inside. At first I will have the K5II + 18-135 kit + M F1.7 + DA 55-300mm. I don't intend to buy anything else for at least a year or two. Well, except maybe the O-GPS and grip.

Consider having room for an external flash unit. You may not think so now but that is a logical equipment addition. My Lowepro 170 AW holds the K-5 with 18-135 or 17-70 plus one other small lens and my Metz flash or the 55-300 as well as odds and ends like filters, lens pen, batteries, etc. I also have a 190 AW that holds everything but rarely use it.

I just changed my order from the 102AW to the 202AW. That should give enough room for any extra accessories I might need.

Thank You all for the responses.

Why not go to a store and bring the camera along to physically try it out?

Does anyone know when the K-5II + DA 18-135 kit will finally be available?
