White Silo with K-5 IIs

Hit this at the right time of day.
Shot with a Takumar Super-Multi-Coated 28mm f/3.5 at around f/8, I'd guess.
This is one of those few shots that I like in color and black & white.

I really like the black and white version. The various depths of gray in the clouds give the picture a nice three dimensional quality.

Nice shot. I also like the clouds in the black and white version.
You are inspiring me to improve my B&W conversion skills in Gimp. This conversion looks nice to me.

It's probably flickr, but the oversharpness is a bit off-putting.

Very nice. I like the colour version - the grey silo looks like it has been desaturated within an otherwise coloured image.

Thanks for the kind words, all.
I'm quite enjoying this camera.

I shot JPG because of limited space on my card (I usually shoot DNG). In spite of that, I followed my normal routine of opening in Lightroom and finishing in Photoshop. The B&W was run through Silver Efex Pro.

@xhanatos I noticed that, too. Here are links to the original shots on Flickr, which don't look quite so bad (to my eye).
