Granted I don't have a K5 or K5ii for comparison but I was impressed with the detail in the image below. I've provided a 1:1 inset which clearly shows Black Mountain Tower in the distance. The lack of noise and the sharpness of the images are stunning.

The K-5 can do sharpness and detail, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if the K-5IIs were able to do better. It will certainly make a great landscape camera.

Looks like the road to Corin Dam, or thereabouts.

It was near Mount Coree, so quite a bit further north.

Makes me wish I had one of the sharpest Pentax lenses just to see how it comes up on the sensor. I haven't tried the DA 35 limited yet, and it ought to be sharper than the DA 16-45.

I've seen some big prints, certainly bigger than I would print myself, roughly 5' x 4'.
Both macros and landscapes, and the details were excellent.
I think the K-5IIs is a very capable landscape camera, and your photos are another example of its potential.

I already have some prints on canvas which are about that size - using photos from the K-7, but of course the resolution of the image on the canvas is quite low. Still, I would be interested to see an image that sort of size on a high resolution paper from the K-5iis!
