I sold my Canon 5D MKII and switched to the K5 for the smaller size of the camera and the weather sealing. I shoot concerts, sometimes outside concerts and wanted a smaller lighter Bag-O-Gear for concert work. Below are some samples of what I have done with the K5 at concerts.
Wonderful colour in all of these shots. In fact, most of the work in this thread is spectacular.

Foals playing at the Zenith in Paris, back in November.

Pentax K-5 + Tamron 28-75

Pentax K-5 + Tamron 70-200 (of course, just as I switch to a longer focal length, the guy decides to jump into the crowd).

Pentax K-5 + DA 18-55 WR (gasp! a real, fast wide angle is next on my wishlist, I swear)

A second body would definitely have come in handy.
While I didn't lose a massive amount of time switching lenses in general, the one moment when I should have had a wider lens on my camera I had unfortunately just put on my longest lens instead — switching back again at that time would indeed have made me miss what was happening as a whole (singer went crowdsurfing hell fast). I sorta managed by moving back a whole lot, but the pit was so overcrowded, it was a less than ideal shooting position.

Some awesome shots nonetheless. I particularly like the first shot of this 18-55 set. Really well composed and great colours.

Hi all, some nice pictures over there!
I used the K100D, KX and then K5 for a while and I was pretty happy with these cameras. Lightweight and very good technical capabilities. I used mainly Sigma 105 EX DC Macro, Sigma 17-50 EX DC Macro and Pentax F-50 lenses.
Still, I have been shooting mainly on a D600 since 2 years. The main reason is that I need a big viewfinder as I started shooting concerts all manual including AF (ok, wanted to check as well if FF really makes a difference )
To stay on topic, here are some concert pictures that I shot with the K5.
Enjoy! Your feedback is appreciated

I like these very much, great atmosphere.

Here are a few photos I took on my first attempt at concert photography:

Photos were taken with my K5 + the 18-55 WR, FA 50mm F1.7 and D-FA 100mm f2.8 macro WR. I loved the experience and will definitely try to start shooting more music related stuff!
