I shoot weddings as a 2nd shooter/assistant and I do dance photography. I DO have a sigma OS lens so that may be what is doing it! I didnt think about that!!! I am NOT pulling the card out of the camera LOL I dont think tahts possible. its always felt a little stiff to me, def different than my k20.... believe me I have thought of all these things before posting here lol

When shooting are you using the view finder or Live View because Live View will chew up your battery?

No way, no liveview ever, but I do shoot a lot of photos in a short period of time. Weddings arent as heavy on it as the dance stuff is, maybe Im not used to it but it still seems like the k20 was far better on battery life. Im just afraid my camera is glitchy in general!

If you have strong suspicions that your camera is glitchy I'd send it back for a complete check over to either confirm or disperse those suspicions because if you don't you'll always have this nagging feeling of dread everytime you go on a shoot.

Yes, the memory card is stiffer than the K-20 - I noticed that too when I upgraded. But it shouldn't cause the card to break.

Jpeg or raw files?
(jpeg with a lot of automatic transformations and stuff would take both power and slow things down.)
