I am a fairly new owner of the K5. Now I am aware of it's qualities in regard to water and dust ingress, also it's cold weather ability, how about hot and humid weather?

It handles the heat and humidity better than I can.

Its fine in the humidity even up to 100% with WR or DA* lenses, as long as you dry it off and store it in a dry environment when you're not using it.

The sensor does have temperature limit and it does heat up with long exposures and using liveview for extended period. It does have a safety cutoff.
As for the body itself I wouldn't be doing anything silly like leaving it in a car in the blazing sun. I'd rather be out shooting

I continually use my K5/K5IIs in cold weather. At the moment its been seeing alot of action with no lens and the sensor is exposed to direct air at -20C to -30C and it chugs away just fine.

We've had a couple nast hot summers here in Illinois, and the only issue I ever had was the front element (along with my glasses) fogging up when stepping from the air conditioned comfort to 100 degree day. Both clear up fairly quickly.

whenever I go into hot humid areas, I always stock up on dessicant for my cam bag.... usually I bring a few on my carry on in a ziplock and I add a new pack (or 2) into my cam bag every day. Also be careful going from cool air con to outside weather - a too sudden transition can cause condensation.

Here in Singapore it's hot and humid all year long. All cameras work just fine, as long as they are put in dry places (aircon room, dry cabinet ...) when not in use for long. But if you talk about rainy days, of course our WR cameras/lenses would have the advantage
