Firmware 1.14...

how have you benefitted? I got faster shots in "HI" mode without the buffer filling up.

The good:

Af seems snappier

The bad:

They messed with AF adjustments, so now my Tamron 17-50 needs -10 instead of -5

Would go back to 1.13 if possible

I'm not sure if it's wishful thinking, but AF seems better to me too.

Audibly I found buffer and take speeds varied according to how bright/dark the image focus point is.
K-5 IIs with Pentax 55-300.

From out of the box and after updating Firmware to 1.3, I found my K-5 IIs fairly easy to set up but it was not quite so logical to find how to set the RAW + Hi speed shot settings, I had to hunt a bit. Having said that, I tried it out in the wilds the other day and taking a few sequenc shots of a bird hovering was easy-peasy. I only fire about 3-5 shots usually, so should not have a problem with the Buffer. In all fairness I have to say that apart from the RAW + Hi setting being apart from the other settings I find it quite good; compared to my EOS which almost dies in the bitterly cold weather!

Just updated. I think there's a definite AF change with my 70-200 sigma, feels a bit quicker and locks on fast. of course, i always wonder if we just convince ourselves of that, given how subjective it is, lol. But I was running +2 on the AF, a quick check seems to indicate -1 now needed. something has certainly changed there, but i'd need to spend more time deciding those levels. this is outdoors, mind you. in dim light, intermittent front focus still seems to be an issue. I'll try the more general use 24-60 2.8 and see if there's any change there.

either way, I am thankful that Pentax keep modding what is now a superceded camera model.
