K5II lens compatibility

I am interested in purchasing a K5II. I already own a Sigma 28-200mm DL Hyperzoom Macro lens. Does anyone know if it is compatible with the K5II? I asked Pentax and they said they only recommend Pentax lenses. I am currently using the lens on a Pentax ZX-50 film slr.

Yes, it's compatible. Any Pentax K mount lens is.

That particular lens will also work in AF mode on the K-5, as it behaves just like a Pentax FA series lens. You can learn more about the lens series here:
