It seems Pentax F 1.7x AF converter is not available in US (checked on Amazon, B&H, Adorama etc.). However, it is available on ebay from Japan/China vendors for $600. Wondering if it is discontinued in US or an updated product is expected sooner. Thanks.

It was discontinued a while back, thus is available only in used market.

Bought mine from Amazon Japan (new). Had to use a a forwarding agent (Tenso: did a superb job). Really was hassle free apart from filling in the delivery address on Amazon. Tenso show you how to do this via cut and paste if I remember right.

Yes, it's available on Amazon, but at $400 (36659 JPY) it's a bit much for a TC IMO.
