K-5II Record EXIF at 8mm?

Does the K-5II/IIs record EXIF focal length data at 8mm?
That is one of the bigger annoyances of the K-5, in my opinion. I have to employee a work around before I can use lens corrections on the Sigma 8-16mm.

Probably not, since they share the same firmware for the most part.

Thats interesting...I wonder if ssomeone has tried contacting Sigma about this
