Been reading a lot about the mirror flopping on k-5 caued mainly by a board in the camera. My question would be

1. does the mirror flopping issue ever fixed by Pentax on some newly manufactured K-5? or was the entire line had this issue?
2. If I buy a K-5 today listed as new? does it guarantee it got the fix needed.

never read a thread about this being fixed by pentax on k5 system from the manufacture line.

or is it just safer to get k 5 iis, K-5 price is really a better deal if the difference between the two is subtle.

Not every K5 is affected by the flop.
In the unlikely event that you buy a new K5 with that problem Pentax would fix it under warranty
