So after months and months and years of thought and planning and reading and studying and working and scrimping and saving, I finally was able to pull the trigger on my camera upgrade this morning. About 10 min. ago in fact.
Currently, I'm shooting with a K200D, my first and only dslr, with a Sigma 17-70 DC and a Tamron 70-300. In anticipation of a family trip to Disneyworld in August, I wanted to upgrade to the K-5ii. Think I'll notice an improvement?
I bought a bundle with the DA 18-135 lens, which I figure will be a good walk-around lens at DW. I also got a Clik Elite Probody sport backpack to carry my gear and a few other odds and ends (extra battery, 2 32G sdhc cards, a UV filter, some other stuff).
I'm currently selling my Sigma 17-70 on ebay, and if it sells for at least $250, I'll purchase the DA 50mm prime. I currently have an M 50mm 1.7, and it's not too shabby. I don't mind the manual focus as much as I mind the manual aperture. And I'm hoping to "do" some street photography in southern Utah and Vegas.
Can. NOT. Wait.
