K-5 (ii/iis) as next body

Hello K-5 owners,

I have been debating and thinking and looking at my finances for a the last few months really seeing if I need a new body. (You can see some of my thoughts in my previous thread https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/226381-what-ge...body-lens.html)

I recently was hired (minimally) to shoot coverage for a large well known Subaru performance enthusiast meet. I had done it the previous 2 years so I prepped as normal but it was just something about this time. I felt hindered with my K-r. I originally brought my K10d as a safe backup if there was rain for the event in 2012 so I still had it this year for the same reason. (I would have rented a WR lens if necessary). No top LCD, lack of WR, no battery grip option plus there's the higher quality photos. Additionally half way through I began to feel the notorious K-r e-dial thing started to act up.

I am set on getting K-5. may be a regular k-5 or a kiis, will see how pockets fair. Plan to purchase da* 50-135 first, so it will be just a body.

Here is the photos from the event:

Should I expect a big difference from what I shot with a K-5 over a K-r?

There's a noticeable difference, yes, in terms of dynamic range and lower noise.
