I have a k5iis and can't get the HDMI out to work, anyone else have this problem?

The cable could be faulty. I assume you have bought (or already had) the required cable with a type C HDMI plug - such cable isn't included with the camera.

You may want to change the HDMI output format. Default is "Auto", which attempts to detect the format to use with your monitor, but if that doesn't work you can manually set the format. Set on the second page of the setup menu.

The cable is certainly worth investigating. I also had a nightmare playing out of a DVD player to a video projector using a HDMI cable and eventually found that the set up was using a cable that was too long. When we switched to a much shorter cable the video projector latched onto the signal - I can only assume that the longer HDMI cable resulted in a weaker signal because the longer cable still worked with other equipment.

I am on my second cable and have tried 4 different TV's. It's also a 10foot cable, maybe I will try a 6 footer if I can't get it to work. Thanks Ole and Johndav for the quick responses guys!

One other thing, I am trying to view images using the HDMI out, can I even do that or is the HDMI out for video only? If so, then I guess my problem is solved,
