Changing user mode

Despiting having used my 2 K5 bodies for over 2 years and because I mostly use manual and use raw I never bothered with the user presets, however I recently I tried out the hdr and was pleasantly surprised at the results so iI set up a preset and also made a couple of others.
what I have found is that if you turn the mode dial to user Initially it shows you the last user mode selected called 1 thru 5 or whatever you have renamed them to and there is the option at that point to change to another pre stored user mde via the left/right 4 way control pad , but once that screen is gone how do change which user mode you are in with out having to move the mode dial just to get that initial screen back again? I have read and re read the book but can't see how you do this and I'm sure there must be a way.

Press "menu" and you'll see you can change presets

Flicking the camera off and back on will also bring up the selection screen.

and that I'm not going to do that, may work but its obviously not the way Pentax expect you to do it.
