Something off with my K5

Out of the blue (probably something I did, but I've no idea what) the rear display screen doesn't display anything during normal shooting. It works fine if I preview a picture, and when I first turn it on, I get something, but the usual screen that shows the settings, focus points, etc., nothing. What setting did I accidentally mess with? I looked in the menu, but nothing really stands out as being wrong.

Yeah, the INFO button! I often use it to shut off the screen during events when the excessive light can be annoying for myself and others, concerts etc.

Or... check that your focus selection is not set to "selective point" when you have the camera in that mode you cannot see menus, and you cannot change white balance, shooting mode ect ect, the buttons only change the focus point selection in the OVF, switch the setting to centre or auto and you get fuctionallity back to all buttons.

There's a menu option somewhere to "disable status screen" or something to that effect. Did you enable that by accident?

Info button may just be it. I never knew it would do that, so it sounds like the most reasonable explanation. I'll check it out when I get home.
