Did the update to K5iis get pulled?

I went to the link to download update 1.05 and when the firmware applied, it is still 1.04. I noticed in the name of the file it is also 1.04. Did it get pulled?
site still says it is 1.05 but it isn't

thanks

Get the Windows/Macintosh version (the .zip, not the .exe).

There are two errors on the K5-II/K5-IIs Firmware 1.05 page, in the text and in the file names.
Latest K-5II/K-5IIs Firmware Update : Software Downloads | RICOH IMAGING

First they say:
PENTAX Firmware Update Software for K-5II/K-5IIs
Registered name
k5_2_104.exe (For Windows 10,133 Kbytes) , k5_2_104.zip (For Windows/Mac 10,062 Kbytes)
k5_2s104.exe (For Windows 10,133 Kbytes) , k5_2s104.zip (For Windows/Mac 10,062 Kbytes)

Which is all wrong.

Then:
Download the updated firmware file.
[K-5II]
- For Windows : k5_2_105.exe 10,133 Kbytes, LHA type, self-extracting files
- For Windows/Macintosh : k5_2_105.zip 10,062 Kbytes, zip type
[K-5IIs]
- For Windows : k5_2s105.exe 10,133 Kbytes, LHA type, self-extracting files
- For Windows/Macintosh : k5_2s105.zip 10,062 Kbytes, zip type

And below the download buttons you get the following file names:
K5-II WIN: k5_2_104.exe (instead of k5_2_105.exe)
K5-II Mac: k5_2_105.zip
K5-IIs WIN: k5_2s_104.exe (instead of k5_2s_105.exe)
K5-IIs Mac: k5_2s105.zip

Even so the k5_2s105.zip is inconsistent with the k5_2_105.zip filename (should be k5_2s_105.zip).

And they still haven't corrected this mess after 2 days. Amazing!

Why do they even bother making the exe files? Any OS can unzip a zip file these days.

And those who can't unzip a file should not be allowed to update the firmware, IMO. If there really are such people.

Can there be a software update from Ricoh that works from the moment it's announced, without messed up links, messed up version numbers, bugs, etc.?

It was going perfectly smooth with my K5iis. First is to download under windows/mac zip file. Then unzip that file to get a bin file.Copy this bin file. Follow the instruction in download page and you can get it done.

I mean copy the bin file to a formatted SDcard the put it into camera. Do the update as regular procedures.

+1 but there are a lot of people who should never be allowed to know what firmware is, much less update it. If they really wanted to make it simple enough for my dad to do they would make an exec that just required the camera to be plugged in. As it is, the Mac (zip) version is the cleanest but still not for the computer challenged.

All due respect, but you should not allow your parents to go outside unaccompanied

Or better yet a web plugin based version.
