I have a K5 and I have a problem.....
I may set the ISO to a very high value for a photo. Or I may increase/reduce the flash power for a picture. Or any other setting. The problem I have is remembering to reset when I've finished. The result is the next photo I take (may be weeks later) is over exposed or whatever and I spend valuable time trying to figure out why. What I want is the following (probably enabled/disabled via a menu setting).
When the camera is physically switched off I'd want all settings to revert to a specified set. By default this would be the factory settings. But it would be nice to define these.
When the camera merely goes to sleep I'd want the same control. That is either to retain current settings or reset (Menu Selectable Option).
You can imagine wanting to retain the current settings if the camera goes to sleep but to clear them when switched off. At least I can.
Of course, you can't expect the physical switches to move (like program) but I'm talking about the software settings.

The K-5 has a memory menu. In that menu you can specify what it should and shouldn't remember after being powered down.
