Sounds like you should send the camera in for repair under the warranty.

My K5 all fixed now in repair under warranty. It feels like new again

-electronic level to use straight horizons is not correct. Right place is between 2nd and 3rd led on right side. This has been from new already.

-problems positioning flash connections properly to hot shoe. I think body hot shoe flash pins are not exactly right place cos i did not have problems with my older pentax bodies. -body rubber is pealing off under front control wheel. Started after few months use, i have been using scotch tape to fix...

-some buttons not work so nicely as new, must press few times sometimes before something happends...yeah i been using some buttons a lot, i even use much incamera editing...

-lens f rings can not use anymore, there is no information coming to body from lenses that have aperture rings. Even this feature is enabled in body settings. Anyway selecting aperture from body still works fine.

-after take photo sometimes, many buttons not work at all, must offon cam or onoff liewview tomake buttons work normally again. Can not even look pic...This is getting more and more worse...

These are for maintenance to fix, quarantie is still on until 2 years. Just for u to know sharing these only.

I would add to the list of shortcomings - continuous autofocus almost always blocks, can hardly be used, especially in warm weather. Garantie still holds. Should I do something about it?

I also had a problem with the electronic level but decided that I just didn't need it. Other than that mine crashes every couple of months but I just need remove the battery and reboot.

Almost 2 years and a disappointing 18,000 clicks. I have really slowed down in the last 9 months.
