battery life in LV

Does any one know what the battery life is if you use LV continuously rather the the VF?

measured I guess in the number of shots?

the specs say approx 750 with 50% flash or 980 with out using I assume the VF since nothing is mentioned?

I seem to remember that a previous second body model I had, the KR I think, drained that battery flat quickly in LV and it was a known problem or issue if you like.

You'll get a lot less battery life because the monitor and the sensor both have to be powered-up full time. Realistically, maybe 500 shots assuming that you don't idle in live view for too long. This should already be a lot better than what the K-r could do.

In the K-01 I can run the camera for several hours making like 350-400 images on one battery. This is with studioworking and running the wifi-card, so the camera stays turned on for almost the entire evening, except for a coffeebrake. No internal flash used for that.

I think the K-5 consumes just a little more energy, but maybe you can compare it.
