My DA* 300 has trouble focussing to infinity from it's closest focus point on my K-5 body. When I tried focussing on the same spot using it on my K20D it had no problem focussing out to infinity from it's closest focussing point . I noticed the same happen once in a while when I used my DA 55-300 on my K-5 and I thought I never really thought anything of it, but now that it's happening with the DA* I think it could be the autofocus of the K-5 that's not normal. Has anyone else noticed this happening with their K-5 and DA* 300?

I usually only have the issue in low light.
If I have the issue under good contrast, I know its time to clean the two SDM contacts on both the body and lens.

In low light I just make sure I am in the middle of focus. The camera has an easier time finding it's target when its' time to shoot.

AF requires power. Make sure your batteries are topped up and you have clean lens/body contacts for optimal performance.
