What is K-5II shutter resource and how much cost to change it ?

Hello,

I'm using K-5II and thinking to begin shoot timelapses. As we know timelapses need a lot of shots, so i'm worried about my shutter life

Does anyone know how much K-5II can take, what manufacturer says ?
And if im up to that number or when the warranty is ended how much could cost to change shutter ?

100k. Don't worry about your shutter life as if you do the math, you'd probably ever only shoot a fraction of that in timelapse mode.

I don't know... five minutes of finished time lapse footage at 30 frames per second is 9% of the shutter's life. Of course, that's a lot of time lapse, but you could get an old, cheap body for a lot less than it would cost to replace the shutter. If the video you're doing is going to be full HD, you only need 2 megapixels of resolution. If you want 4K, you still only need 8 megapixels.
