I have over the years regularly seen it posted here that the camera zoom level of 8 equals 1:1 view in software but is that right?
if I zoom in lightroom to 1:1 to view the same area and magnification on the camera lcd requires a zoom of 1.7
if I zoom in lightroom to 3:1 to view the same area and magnification on the camera lcd requires a zoom of 4.8
In ACR and photoshop 100% or 1:1 requires a camera zoom of 4.8 again to match the screen views so where does this 8 times magnification come in?
In fact at 8 times nothing ever looks sharp on the lcd no matter how well focused any lenses primes or zoom and regardless of aperture. is that me my kit or what.
What is the use of the zoom being able to go up to 32 magnification,? nothing is even hardly recognizable, even if you know what the subject is, at that zoom level, why is it there?
