K5 IIs Moire

I've never had a problem with Moire - just this past week I was tasked with shooting a group at an award presentation and one of the fellows was wearing a coarse weave dark brown suit (it's winter after all). On reviewing the photos I had a minor heart attack, then found the moire adjustment in LR5. It worked fantastic. I thought I'd share for anyone who experiences the same issue.

Good to know. Does the K3 have this feature?

It's a feature of Lightroom - built in as more cameras with out AA filters were released. Does the K3 show Moire - yes I'm sure it does if you have the AA filter simulator turned off / to low setting.

The moire reduction in LR5 is much better than earlier iterations. Thanks for sharing Matt.

What is it about a suit that creates that effect?

Fine, repeating detail in the textile.

Shoot the screen in your window. It will make your eyes go wacky for sure.

The increased pixel density of the K3 reduces considerably risk of moiré. I sometimes experienced moiré with the K5iis, never with the K3
