K5 IIs

Hi all,

I decided at the beginning of the year to "up the ante" and go for the K5 IIs !!
My experience with the K5 was that is was a more than capable platform, with one sore point, low light focusing...

The K5 was (and still is) a great camera, and plan to use it for daytime, but the IIs fits my requirements better particularly because of issues with low light focusing.

Have not had a chance to try it out yet (except for my heavily light polluted balcony) as I managed to rupture my Peroneal tendon at the beginning of the month.

Cheers

Leon

K-5IIs is a good camera. If you combine it with a fast lens, you will be amazed how far can you go to use autofocus in low light. I've said low light? Better said, almost darkness.

And take care of your health.

JimmyD, Thanks, trying to walk on clear ice is not reccommended without the appropriate footwear.

redcat, some very nice images, the K5 and the IIs are both extremely good cameras.
Hope they last as long as the SP500 did

I have a K5IIs coming this week....Currently own the K5 and have been very happy with it.

My Question....Is there anything I need to know about he K5IIs that would benefit me to get started with it that is different from my K5? Any tips or settings that might help me get off to a good start that differ from myK5?

I want to get off to a good start, Otis says it is my last chance to shoot handsome squirrels in "all their glory".....or they plan to execute me.

Regards &Thanks!

I don't remember anything different from K-5 to K-5IIs. It was like I don't change anything. Excepting a better, and quicker AF response. And a slightly better IQ,

Do not sharpen the image in post-prod. It's not necessary

Thanks
Hopefully I can make a somewhat-full recovery before the end of the month

We holidayed in Tenerife last week, difficult hill climb, but the sunset was worth it
