shutter counter?

Greetings, I have seen some people post some type of 'shutter counts' (how many times the shutter fired). My question is: how can you find out this number? or are folks guessing with some type of info? Does the method work for all Pentax Dslr? thanks

Here is a link that I believe will help. You will need to have your camera and computer hooked up. Choose your file, and the rest should be simple. Hope this helps.
