Live view help

I am using an old M lens and LV. When I half click the LV turns off, is there a way to prevent this? I am trying to do macro work and want the LV to stay on until I actually release the shutter.

Did you accidentally set the LV AF mode to PDAF? Not 100% this could be it, but it's possible.

Perhaps this, from the K5ii manual, which should be the same, might help

I see the post showing the K5ii manual but is there any info on how and when to use live view? I have heard it's great for macro shooting.

Use it when critical focus is key, as it allows you to magnify the image and focus more precisely than through the viewfinder.

Models that came after the K-5 all have focus peaking, which also makes handheld manual focusing a bit easier by adding outlines to objects that are in focus.

Thanks Adam. I then presume the K3 has focus peaking. I will have to look into that I guess.
