K5IIs doesnt save AF settings in user modes

I want to create a user mode with AFC , central point select and expanded area , but after it is created and saved, I put on the camera when the af selector in AFS mi user mode works in AF S

when theorically it was afc saved. is it normal? What am I doing wrong?

Try that saved user mode with the AF focus mode switch set to AF.C, and the AF focus area mode switch set to spot, and see what happens. Those settings are based on the position of those switches. When expanded area AF is set to "on" in AF settings of the [Rec Mode 1] menu while in AF.C, the camera will continue to focus on the subject based on information from the focus points surrounding the selected focus point.
