Cropped

Hi,
This photo I cropped in 100%, and after used a site that double its size.
Got it with a K5, Pentax 55mm 1.8, in ft1/8 and speed 4000, and ISO 800.
In Brazil, we name this bird as "Bem-te-Vi" , in a roughly translate to english would be "seeing-you", but the manner its sings is like saying "bem-te-vi" in portuguese, just like that... :-)

The photo was in situation where I just picked the camera and have time just to shoot with the settings in there, hopefully the settings was enough to record the moment.

You certainly recorded the moment. If I understand what you did correctly, the shot (or the cropped part of the original pic) is now at 200%. The graininess is not surprising but it is still a good action shot.

Nice capture. I know from experience trying to photograph wildlife you get such a brief moment to press the shutter sometimes, you just have to grab whatever's available however it's set up and start shooting, hoping you captured something unique and can perhaps improve it with post processing. As you did in this case.
