Just perform a highlight or selective burn adjustment and that last photo will be fine.

Flew out to British Colombia last week to make some turns. I stopped on the way down when I noticed the sun was attempting to make its appearance and popped this one of my friend with the 12-24.

Yeah, especially in the last one. That's a PP accident, I was mainly concentrating on getting rid of the yellow tone. And ExpoDisc is on my never ending shopping list ;D

The conditions were actually quite ok because it was only about -3C and just a tiny bit of snowing. The first game of the season a couple of weeks ago was played at -10C and one practice match -16C. With proper clothing it's quite ok, but the problem is that the ball becomes like a rock - nice to kick, even nicer to do headers :-)
I really like your photos there. They may not be technically perfect but I think they captured the feel of the game really well.

Dang, what a shot! I wish could ski well enough to have a camera ready up in the mountains. I rarely ski so it was impossible for me to take my K-5 with me up the mountain when skiing in Norway without risking serious damage to the camera and not least MYSELF.

Thanks. This one isn't really an "action" shot. It was taken earlier that day but gives an idea as to what we had to do to get to the top....... 3 hours later.

I shot a local high school wrestling tournament this afternoon using my K5, the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8, and 540 flash. Here are a few examples.

Great wrestling shots. Again a sport I have never visited. Boy is my to-do-list long!

I went to visit the Diving Cup in Eindhoven. First time for me to go to diving. Difficult to make it lokk good or different. Not to much light in the Swimming Stadium and no pictures from the 3 meter since there was one of three lamps going dead just before the games started and there was not enough light to work with. No names etcetera this time, because not to important game. There will be in a few months the European Championship Diving and Synchroniced Swimming and I hope to attend then as well.

Anyone with ideas about how make this sport look attractive in images with only a swimmingstadium in the background?

Outstanding Ron! I'd love to get diving shots as good as these. Please share a couple things...

What post processing did you do?

Are these cropped? If not, how did you manage to follow the diver so well (I usually end up with feet or hands cut off if I zoom too tightly.

What lens? Did you prefocus?

All in LiveRoom3. The first two I did different, by blacking out the blackground (partly because the woman was a little overexposed), did some filllight and black. All extensive noise reduction (50-60%) since they are all iso 6400 (If I'm not wrong). Just minor things as ad a little contrast. Put them upright if needed, just looking something in the picture that should be vertical.

For almost all of these I used the width of the picture and cut off something on top/bottom. Except 3 and 4 offcourse and I cut of a little thing of number 7. I did have trouble to get them in my image and keep them there. I didn't want to make those pictures where the whole pool is in the image. I turned the head of my monopod connection to make it not go horizontal, but make it nod. Turned of SR and just followd the diver.

I used DA*300mm (a little long for this time) and only used it pre-focussed and used Sigma 70-200mm (OS version) wich I either used pre-focussed or did focussing again during the jump. Depending of my location toward the jump.
