All in LiveRoom3. The first two I did different, by blacking out the blackground (partly because the woman was a little overexposed), did some filllight and black. All extensive noise reduction (50-60%) since they are all iso 6400 (If I'm not wrong). Just minor things as ad a little contrast. Put them upright if needed, just looking something in the picture that should be vertical.

For almost all of these I used the width of the picture and cut off something on top/bottom. Except 3 and 4 offcourse and I cut of a little thing of number 7. I did have trouble to get them in my image and keep them there. I didn't want to make those pictures where the whole pool is in the image. I turned the head of my monopod connection to make it not go horizontal, but make it nod. Turned of SR and just followd the diver.

I used DA*300mm (a little long for this time) and only used it pre-focussed and used Sigma 70-200mm (OS version) wich I either used pre-focussed or did focussing again during the jump. Depending of my location toward the jump.
Thanks. Again, excellent work. I'm jealous that it's your first time doing diving. I've still got a lot to learn as shown by these examples...

I looked at some of them. They are good, but you keep on the safe side and take to much pool in your picture.

I also saw one synchronised swimming demonstration during the #EKWaterpolo EC Waterfly. A Dutch team up for the coming Olympics. No idea if theay are any good in the world. Difficult sport to make it any exciting. Not the best position to take this serie (I guess). Also the EC Synchroniced Swimming is coming to our local pool this year.

I'm really loving the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8. Today was my first chance to shoot an outdoor sport with it. I have used the DA55-300 in the past and it has worked well for me. Today I shot a softball game between our high school team and a team of former players. I only used the Tamron. Took nearly 300 photos and kept 130 or so. The faster burst speed (compared to my K20D) and better highISO performance really makes a difference in being able to catch the ball in flight and shoot at higher shutter speeds. Here were some favorite shots:

GvilleRick, nice shots.

I think the WB may be a little off. If you shot in raw you can try adjusting this. The players wearing white are higher in red & blue (using Color Cop to check this: about | Color Cop). This is partly explained by the colour of the light reflected off the ochre-coloured playing surface. But the spectators wearing white have a stronger blue component too.

Dan.
