That's a great shot crewl1, just shows you can handle your gear as well as the guy can handle his kite
Thanks Andre, nice to hear about other kite buggiers out there.
That guy in the pic is a factory rep for an equipment manufacturer.
Me thinks there is a touch of insanity at work in those guys.

I had a busy week with softball, soccer, and baseball games. Used the Sigma 70-200 on all these.

I had my first fieldhockey images in the paper. For that I went out to go cover both women and men's games. Both teams played out against the same club. So I was there as photographer and Anneke was there as a reporter.

Ron, has it hit you that you may be one of the most successful active digital Pentax sports shooters in the world? I bet there are some people shooting medium format but at APS-C you are in the top!

Yes I did! I had the 645D for 15 days last year from our distributor:

Didn't get my hands on that lens, but used FA*645 300mm/f4 and that was one fine lens, but indeed a little short on some occasions.

No matter the tool you are really talented ! looking at the picture i remembered the slow "burst" of the 645D, and i think you really need to anticipate the action the get the shot. And you seem really successful in this ! congrats !

I really like the picture, and the PP too. You are a master among the masters

I remember the win. It kept me in second!
But I can't be too mad; it was well-deserved.

I think that sailing season has opened. Enthusiastic kids. The sea isn't even ice-free.

Well I again asked Pentax to get an oppertunity to use the 645D. This time with the new 90mm lens. It is for an interview I'm going to do next month. Pictures with interview and some videofootage. Probably coming in the womenssoccermagazine in june. The magazine is new, second edition and the first edition in shops for purchase for 4,95 euro. In there is one image on a whole page that I made:
